The Heather, named after Head Chef Matt Cowan’s mother is an incredible and intimate fine dining experience. Chef Matt draws inspiration from the warmth and love from his mother. When eating at The Heather, you aren’t a customer, you are guest personally invited to a friendly home to enjoy a warm home cooked meal.

Chef Matt Cowan combines techniques he’s adopted from French, Italian and Japanese cuisine to deliver a truly unique elevated dining experience without the pomp natures associated with ‘fine-dining’. With a max seating of 10 people per service and a set course meal, Chef Matt is right there cooking in front of his guests sharing stories and laughs all while educating and entertaining.

We wanted to combine his influence of Japanese cuisine and the warm delicacy of his story to the forefront.
